Hello All
I am working on TMS C 5416 kit. I have communicated DSP
5416(Texas Instruments) with Windows XP OS through usb interface using IC
CY7C68001(EZ USB SX2) of Cypress Semiconductor coorperation.
Now I want to operate this kit on Linux operating system while using the same
usb interface. The Linux OS is not communicating with my kit .What should I do
?
what might be the problem ? Have anyone done this ? Any help/guidance `ll be
highly appreciated.
please help me as asap.
Regards
pieter

Well, if it works on Windows then it's gotta work on Linux. Is it the same box; i.e. a dual boot or virtualized system?
Do you have something else (a 'reference') you can try on your Linux box USB port? Just something basic, like a
camcorder, smart phone, etc. to make sure the port is enabled and configured correctly.
How did you test on WinXP? Just using WinXP to recognize the port? Or you have some application specific software
you can run?

Can you clarify "on kit"? You build and run a C# application under Linux, right?
Not on the DSK board.

Where did you get the WinXP driver? Whoever provides that should be able to provide
a Linux driver, or be able to tell you which Linux distributions include a driver
that is compatible. Did you ask them?

PS. Please post to the group, not to me.
