Hi, (c6711DSK, CCS 2.1) I nedd some information about RTDX: 1. Can I use RTDX via parallel port(or only with Jtag connector)? 2. Can I set(change) the value of variables via RTDX in real-time while the code is runing on the target? Thanks |

(Q1) By parallel port do you mean a parallel port emulator (i.e. still JTAG)or do you mean hardware with a general parallel port connection? (Q2) That is the idea of RTDX, but the raw tools available from TI typically require you to hardcode a send/receive message for a particular variable or memory location. We have techniques that extend or replace RTDX to allow: (1) inspecting and changing values of any arbitrary variable or memory location(s) without changing the DSP side code (done in Real- time) (2) Allow this type of functionality to work over a serial port with no JTAG connection (or even CCS) required.
