AMR WB+ (fixed point) Frame duration - chandresh - Feb 23 1:29:00 2006

Hi all,

I am trying to port ABR WB+ (fixed point baseline) to a particular platform. I want to calculate its MIPS consumption on this platform. I know, if

'X' =  Million instructions per frame on this platform
'T' =  Frame duration in seconds

then,  MIPS = X/T

I know the value of X.

But I dont know the frame duration of AMR WB+ codec. Can anybody tell me its value?

Tx
Chandresh

Amr-WB+  uses different frame lengths from 20 to 80 ms, depending on the encoding mode.
You can find the full spec on the ETSI web site, there is also two papers presented at ICASSP2005 that give a nice overview of the amr-wb+ codec.

Here is the link to download the papers.
