From dBm to digital signal - assa...@gmail.com - Jul 25 9:31:00 2005

Hello

I am working on DTMF detector.
The power level specifications in ITU-T Q.24 use the dBm units.
My question is:

How to transform the dBm units to digital signal (lets say from
-32768 to 32767)?

I know that 3.172 dBm0 for mu-law and 3.14 dBm0 for A-law are the overload decision levels, but it doesn't help me (only confuse me more).

Thanks,
Assaf
