+/- 5v TTL serial signal to 0/3v for sci port - krs3...@drexel.edu - May 3 7:37:13 2007

Hello,
I am trying to interface a serial device (GPS receiver) with the f2812. The device gives the
serial signal at +/- 5v as it should but the dsp requires all serial signals to be between 0
and 3.3v . Is there a simple circuit that can be used for this or some type of conversion
cable?

Thanks for any advice!

Kevin

Hello,

Recently I have used the IC MAX3232ECPE (from Maxim)for that reason.

Hi,

You can check out the document, SPRA550.pdf in TI's
website. It gives differnt interfacing techniques
between TTL/CMOS to DSP pins.

Thanks,
Vishal.
